It sometimes feels like a scene from one of those Western movies when the dastardly villain unhooks the carriage away from the engine and it starts to career down the tracks uncontrollably. Billy and I jumping off the engine footplate and chasing the carriage, catching it up and grabbing hold of the handrails, before it pulls us along, clouds of dust bellowing up behind us and the sun rising from the horizon in front of us.
We’ve had a very busy week, talking to our Title sponsor, signing up for CTT and British Cycling, searching for more sponsors along with setting up our fantastic sponsorship with KitBrix, and designing the team kit too.
Let me introduce you to KitBrix. KitBrix was set up by Robert Aldous after he left the Military, he wanted an organised storage solution that was capable of being connected to each other to make a bespoke bag for every sports persons needs, he’s certainly done that, with a host of professional teams, Raleigh GAC, JLT Condor and Velo, using this fantastic piece of kit.
The original KitBrix bag is modular and can connect to other KitBrix to save you time in transit and travel. The bag is designed to ‘stand up’ to enable you access the bag easily and give you complete visibility of your entire pack list ensuring you have complete control over your kit and ready access to what you need to support your training or competition day. The benefit of having your kit in different, easily marked sections is simple, it keeps you ready at all times at a moments notice, taking the stress out of kit preparation and keeping you in a state of calm, military like readiness. Easily stored at home, in garage and in car, the build quality of KitBrix is second to none – your kit is expensive, KitBrix will keep it safe and secure for when you need it.
From the outset Robert loved the concept of Innovation Racing Team and what we are doing and wanted to be part of it. We welcome you aboard Robert, and look forward to a great season’s racing.
There’s a lot more to tell you about, but I’ll have to leave that for another time
