Wow, what a week of racing we have just had. The racing started on Saturday with 3 of the boys entered into the Manchester and District TT championship. On arrival we found the course had been changed, this should not of been a problem, but a missed turn on the 3 mile ride to the start, saw all 3 turn up a couple of minuets late for their start spot, they all received a time penalty. This would put them all out of contention of winning, even with George's outstanding time it was still a bridge to far. With two rounds to go we could still be in with a shout of getting on the podium and I'm sure the boys and I will be paying more attention to where they need to be, next week.
Sunday saw young Harry swap his TT legs for road legs putting in another solid ride. In only his second ride in a circuit race, Harry finished just off the lead group for a second week in a row. Harry is still only a youth B rider who is learning his trade, in preparation to step up to race with our youth A boys next season. We have Put no pressure on Harry this season it's all about him finding his racing feet and fine tuning that big 6 cylinder engine.
Monday night was the Manchester ACT track league. A place we seem to do well. The team like to be aggressive and animate the races when they can. We seem to be all or nothing at the ACT, this week was definitely all, with the boys winning 3 races and coming 2nd in two. We also had a 4th in the 50 lap Madison.
We know you can't keep winning all the time and just like any pro team we will have mishaps and bad days, the key is to move on and enjoy the next race with a smile of your face. We are certainly smiling this morning.
