Setting the bar high
April 11, 2017
We could not dream of the start we have had. It's been phenomenal. The lads have thrown themselves, not literally, into every race they have competed in, animating races where ever possible, riding with freedom and doing rather well at it too. Seeing the smiles on the lads faces as they cross the line, having given everything they have, not leaving anything on the road, not caring where they finish, fills us all with immense pride, we really are blessed with a fantastic bunch of lads, who epitomise what racing at this level should all be about, fun.
A welcomed bonus to enjoying the racing is that the lads are winning races and titles already. During March the Manchester and District time trial association, held their championships over three weekends, each weeks weather could not of been more different, I'm sure if it had been over four weeks we would of had snow to contend with too. But this did not deter fantastic performances from everyone. In the end it all came down to seconds between 1st and 2nd places, with George pipping a good friend of the team Tristan Pilling, adding another time trial title to his ever growing palmarès. Chapeau George! Notable mentions should also go to Joel, finishing just off the podium, Brandon for taking to time trial like a duck to water and Harry at his first ever TT Champs, all putting in solid shifts.
We now are, well into the Time trial season, and aiming for GHS 10 qualification later this month. The indoor track season comes to a natural break after Easter, only to be replaced by the outdoor leagues at Knowsley and Newcastle-under-Lyme. We also have the circuit races and last by no means least we have road racing taking place though out the Spring too. So as you can see from this, the pace is relentless, racing coming thick and fast, but no matter what the race result you will see us at the finish line beaming from ear to ear.
