Enjoy the journey, and what a journey it has been. This all started a year ago when Harry
asked if he could join a cycling club so I started the journey of looking around at cycling clubs and found Cheshire Mavericks. Harry quickly became a member and began cycling every Sunday morning with the Mavericks; taking his dad along with him. Our lives and weekends have never been the same since! Harry developed a real passion for cycling and wanted to progress further so when the opportunity came up to join Innovation Trek Race Team it was the opportunity he had been looking for.
So before we knew it we were catapulted into this unknown and slightly bewildering territory, all speaking a language that was alien to us !!
As a mum my workload has trebled - washing like a mad woman, using fairy and comfort as quickly as Tesco can stock it
Not to mention the food intake of Harry, it's cheaper to refuel the car !
No more little outing's to John Lewis for me: lipstick and perfume are a thing of the past.
'Mum' I need tyres, Garmin (Edge 820) of course, nutrition, wheels, bike, TT bike, etc, etc.
The house looks a mess and resembles a not so smart Trek store but the bikes are immaculate.
But would I change anything 'absolutely not' - we have made great friends along the way and have gained a vast knowledge of the cycling world and Harry is having a busy, healthy and a very happy life doing something that he absolutely loves and seeing that makes me a very happy mum.
