Winters an important time for the team. As soon as this season closes, we start to prepare for the next. From revamping the website, contacting supporters, to signing new riders. The riders don't hibernate in the Winter, but instead soldier on in all conditions, and because of this they need quality kit to keep them warm, dry and comfortable on the long miles. Myles, at Galibier, has supplied a full Winter kit, and the first to use was our 1st year Junior Joel. Read on to see what he thought.
Yesterday was the first time using the Galibier kit. Bibs, jacket, overshoes and gloves, I put a waterproof in my pocket just in case. The first thing I noticed was how big and deep the pockets were, great for getting all your extra kit into. The weather was cold about 6-7°C, but dry, as we left. The wind was whistling around my ears, at about 26 kph I was worried I might get cold, but no, the jacket, bibs, overshoes and gloves were really warm, even with the cold wind. We had been out for about an hour when the rain started to come down, in minuets it had become a heavy downpour. The jacket was amazing keeping me dry and warm, as we pushed on hard, to get to the cafe. Once at our coffee stop I was warm and dry without the jacket being all sweaty on the inside. I would recommend them to anyone. Great bit of kit, and I won't be needing the extra waterproof next time.
I think you'll agree, the kits a hit with Joel, The Winter kit is, in a word, superb, it's extremely good value and punches well above it price bracket, giving the rather expensive and costalot brands a run for their money. Thank you Myles for your generosity and support of the team, it is appreciated by everyone, from the management, to the lads to the Mum's and Dad's.
