I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
January 6, 2019
I'm continually amazed at the levels of effort and commitment our riders give. They really do love the journey. As soon as the curtain came down on the last race, there was a short rest period, before plans were hatched for goals and targets for 2019, with riders, parents and coaches. One of our new recruits, Adam, is focused and determined to make this, his first year as a Junior count. Coming to the team from Birkenhead North End CC, where he spent many a happy mile on the road, Adam has been given the best start, and we hope to be able to give Adam the space and opportunities to continue on his quest for success. We didn't want to interrupt Adam's training, so we asked his Dad to pen a few words about how the Winters been going for Adam.
"As a first year Junior Adam can’t wait to race on the roads with Innovation. He’s enjoyed long Sunday rides into Wales over recent years, building on distance and endurance. So he’s looking forward to the more lumpy and longer races. His training over recent months has been focused and structured by Joshua Hunt of Neo Pro Cycle Coaching. Over the Christmas fortnight he's managed to build on his strength and power whilst also clocking up 1000 km of riding. He’s been lucky to miss the winter bugs. He’s targeting the Clayton Spring Classic in February."
So by the sound of it, Adam is doing well, he's focused on a great race, and spent much of Christmas in the saddle, building a solid base. We look forward to letting you know how Adam performs. Welcome to the team Adam.
